Middle School Families,

We’re happy to share that our building will be open to students tomorrow, and classes will resume as normal. Some classrooms will be in alternative locations as we continue the drying process in a few areas of the building.

Please note that commercial dehumidifiers and fans will be running in certain parts of the building. These are necessary as we work to fully restore those areas and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for everyone. Students should not touch or be around any of the equipment, and they must stay clear of all areas marked with caution tape.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we complete this process. We’re looking forward to welcoming our students back tomorrow!

No JH Practices Tomorrow (11/3/25)
9 months ago, Brad Schmitt
Dear Families,
We wanted to let you know that there will be no school for middle school students tomorrow due to a water line break in one of our heating units. This issue is only affecting the middle school building.
Elementary and high school classes will continue as normal.
Middle school staff should still report to work to assist with inventorying and assessing any items that may have been damaged.
Please note that middle school conferences will continue as scheduled. Rooms affected by the water line issue will be relocated, and updated room locations will be posted at the building entrance when you arrive.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to make repairs and ensure a safe environment for our students. We will provide updates as needed.
Thank you for your patience and support.

It’s time to show our gratitude and give back! Our Elementary Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive is officially underway, and we’re turning it into a fun competition between classes to see who can collect the most cans! All donations will benefit our Middle/High School Food Pantry, helping support families right here in our school community this holiday season. Check out the flyer below for more information!

Attention Elementary Families! Our lost and found has been growing over the last several weeks. When you come in for conferences next week, please be sure to take a look at our lost and found cart for anything that may belong to your household. We would love for these items to find their homes again!

Our school nurses have been hard at it! They have been working closely with I-Smile and Prevent Blindness Iowa to provide free health services to our students! This week I-smile provided 180 free dental sealants to 93 second- and third-grade students! We've got lots of bright smiles down at the elementary! Additionally, on Wednesday, our nurses partnered with Prevent Blindness Iowa to conduct free vision screenings for 201 students in kindergarten, third, and sixth grades. Using the Spot Camera—which can detect up to seven different vision concerns—the screenings identified 34 students with previously undetected vision abnormalities. We are so grateful for the dedication of our school nurses and our community partners in supporting the health and well-being of our students!
