Disaster Zone tackled Stop the Bleed today. The students learned the importance of bleeding control, how to pack wounds, and how to apply tourniquets. A huge thank you to Chickasaw County Public Health for bringing us training kit with the proper tools for training!!!!

Good luck to our Varsity Girls Golf team!! They are Hosting Oelwein Community Schools and Waukon at New Hampton Country Club. Girls Golf meet has been moved back one hour today and will now start at 2pm instead of 1pm. Go Chickasaws!!


Congratulations to Emma Damjanovic, Ariel Hanson, Landon Meyerhoff, Brayden Opperman, Ainslea Pint, Wyatt Sabelka, and Aidan Underwood on a job well done at the NEICDA Honor Choir on May 16th. They spent all day in rehearsals and had their performance at 7pm. Great work guys!



Chickasaw Writer’s Collective students had the opportunity to listen to author and publisher, Brooke Gansemer today! They received some great tips on starting their children’s books.


Joel Knutson and Brannon Anderson from Chickasaw County EMS stopped by Disaster Zone to teach a little CPR!!





Mr. Rude was testing the grills for Rooftop BBQ today. He says they work!!


Reicks View Farms stopped in to talk with Rooftop BBQ about how the meats that we eat are grown. They also dropped off a very generous donation of pork loins and bacon that the students will be using to make some delectable treats early next week!




Schools are now dismissing. Buses are on route to the elementary. Students will return home about 10 minutes late.
