Baking I Class finished their pie unit before break. They learned how to make a chocolate meringue pie and how you need to separate eggs and make the meringue come to a peak. They also made homemade whipped creme for a fresh strawberry pie.

Baking I Class chose to make fresh strawberry pies with homemade whipped cream and took it home for their Thanksgiving celebrations. They learned about the different types of pies and learned to make a pie crust from scratch. They said making a pie was a lot harder than they thought it would be.
