The second graders took a field trip to the Rockford Fossil Park recently. They participated in a prairie hike, hunted for fossils, played a few outdoor games, and toured the nature center. Thank you to Matt Crayne, naturalist for Chickasaw County Conservation, for joining us and helping out!

The Middle School will have a band and vocal concert. It will start tonight at 7 pm at High School Gym. The admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students K-12. $5 maximum per family.

District Track Fan Information: Admission is $6.00 for K-12 students and adults. There will be no charge for a child who is not yet in school. All tickets
must be purchased through the IHSAA or IGHSAU websites https://www.iahsaa.org/tickets/ NO CASH SALES AT THE
GATE.
The main entrance is located at the southwest corner of the stadium. We will have an additional entrance to the visitors stands at the visitor’s gate on the south side of the track. We will have a ticket scanner located out at the shot put and discus area as well. The concessions stand is located at the north end of the track. The Osage Rotary Club will be grilling food throughout the evening.
Fourth graders toured the Landfill of North Iowa near Clear Lake, IA on Friday, May 5th. We really enjoyed the tour of their facilities and the scavenger hunt as we searched for the answers in their Education Center. We were reminded that it is very important to reduce, reuse, and recycle as much as possible.

Students sat in the same school room that Norman Borlaug did as a boy. They learned how different school was then!

Main Street West Showcase is tonight at 7pm in the elementary auditorium! Come see solos and duets that students and teachers have prepared as well as support the Jazz Choir! $5 for adults and $3 for students, activity passes are accepted!
