Today our 8th grade delegates took to the stage giving their speeches for the first time this weekend at the Sylvan outdoor theater on the National Mall. They had doughnuts and even found a famous landmark! Words have power and our Chickasaws are using them to change the world!
Our 8th graders Paige Stumme and Claire Miller are at the Ford’s Theater National Oratory Fellowship retreat in D.C.! Today they visited the National Mall and worked at the Ford’s Learning Center, creating speeches with other fellows. Mr. Rude is accompanying them.
Come out to the Art Show in the Cafeteria until 2 pm. Our seniors are recognized at noon!

2025 Hot Dog Champions: "Blazing Breakfast Dog" is created by Paige Stumme, Allison Klassen, and Beatriz Santana. This hot dog had nacho cheese sauce, scrambled eggs, salt and pepper, and bacon!
Runner up: "Chicken Taco Dog" created by Jenna Griffith & Izabella Bentley.

Disaster Zone welcomed Joel Knutson for a powerful talk on acute trauma cases handled by helicopter medics. Following that, Mr. Rude led a hands-on Stop the Bleed session where students practiced wound packing and applying tourniquets.
A huge thank you to Jacy Bina and former Chickasaw Chrissy Speicher for speaking with the Rooftop BBQ class! They taught students about meat grading, feeding for quality, and how to identify top cuts of meat.

Bake Me Happy students visited Sweets by Kekes to learn a little about their business. They've also been busy building their baking skills in the kitchen and preparing items for the showcase on Friday afternoon! Scotcharoos, cookies, Rice Krispies, puppy chow, mini cheesecakes, Oreo balls and more!

"Hot Ghetty" was created by Gael Cano & Brock Miller. The Hot Ghetty is a cheese filled Oscar Mayer hot dog on a Kwik Star bun. Topped with spaghetti, mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, and bacon bits.
"Mac Attack" was created by Cade Orr and Kinnick McGrath. This classic Oscar Mayer hot dog is on a Kwik Star bun and smothered with mac and cheese, the crust/breading from chicken nuggets, and topped off with crushed tortilla chips.
Brannon Anderson stopped by Disaster Zone to showcase the Rescue Squad’s impressive capabilities—from EMS skills to drone flights and technical rope work, students got an exciting hands on look!
Middle school students got a real-world look at the justice system with a jail and command center tour during their Endmester class—an eye-opening experience full of learning.
