What can you make with corn flour? That was the driving question for the Spanish III students in their PBL. We began by exploring what foods have corn flour as an ingredient from the Spanish-speaking countries around the world. Then, we made plain tortillas, so we could learn that basic food. Paola shared with us an authentic dish from Columbia, and Anaí's mom made tamales for our classes. Between the 3 classes, there were very few dishes repeated. The students made tacos, quesadillas, street corn nachos, dessert nachos, pupusas, huaraches, sopes, gorditas, and more! The experience was fun and the food was great!
