Thursday, April 14 is Ms. Peterson's last day as our student teacher, so we threw her a thank you party. Enjoy these pictures of everyone learning a line dance and having tons of fun! For those of you who may remember the 90's, this dance is to the Spanish version of Achy Breaky Heart.

This week the New Hampton FFA chapter went down to Ames Iowa for the 94th State Convention, there were many accomplishments as a chapter. Some outstanding accomplishments came from Sarah Eiler and Kelsey Klassen that have received their Iowa degrees. Tori Bearman had the honor of being our district rising star. There were many more accomplishments from other students in the chapter, overall everyone had a great time!

The Family & Consumer Science Classes have a great thing going with Mrs. Ohrt's Environmental Science Class! They come and pick up our recycling. During all of the food labs the FCS students wash the recyclables and then the Environmental Science students go around the entire school and pick up recycling. What a great way to work together!

Mrs. Schmitt has been busy writing grants this school year for the Family & Consumer Science classroom. Here are some pictures of some of the equipment purchased from Theisen Grant, McElroy Grant, and a small Wal-mart grant. Four shelves were purchased for our walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer. Thank you to our custodians for putting these together! The cake pedestals are for our Baking Class for cake decorating and the food containers are for our Food Production Class to start our pizza business (coming soon by the end of the month!)
