
First graders learning about the Caldecott Medal and looking at books who have won the medal. They loved the pictures! The Caldecott Medal is given for best illustrations from illustrators who live in the United States and the book was published in the United States.



TK students came to the library for innovation lab! They listened to the book “Yertle the Turtle” by Dr. Seuss. After the book, students had a challenge to build the tallest tower with turtles!

MS/HS Library purchased a 3D printer with grant money. The intervention kids have been having fun creating and learning what a 3D printer can do.


Four 4th graders performed a skit on Responsibility. The 4th graders are: Eimy Moncada Ortiz, Alex Sabelka, Russel Wickman, and Emily Thiele.

Miranda Buckley and Catherine Pethoud are performing in the Dorian Honor Band Concert tonight at 5pm at the Center for Faith and Life at Luther College. Attention: Date Change for Parade of Bands Concert.
Mr. Adam & Mrs. Adam will be having their baby a little earlier than planned.
Unfortunately, this coincides with the scheduled Parade of Bands concert.
We are now planning to have the concert on Monday March 28th, 2022.


MS Jazz Students are getting ready for their upcoming performances.
Friday March 4th is the Jazz Dessert Show. 7pm in the Cafeteria.
Saturday March 5th is NEIBA Jazz Festival at Union High School.

"Yipao." (A unit of measure - a Jeep full). That is what the Spanish 2 students were making today in class. We learned that the U.S. sold Jeep Willys to Columbia and other countries after WWII. The Jeeps transformed Columbia's economy and helped those who lived in the rugged terrain where travel was difficult to transport more products. While they are no longer used for transporting products, there are Jeep Willy parades, so we decorated the Yips and added cargo (cereal).
