
Baking Class was very successful baking two-crust apple pies! The students learned how to make and roll out pie crust, prepare the apple filling- all from scratch! The FCS room had a mouth-watering smell of apples & cinnamon!





Advanced Foods learned about stir-fry and the proper order to put in the ingredients. The end results were delicious and they are cooking like a pro!

he Spanish III and IV classes took a field trip today to La Placita Mexican Store in Waterloo to purchase supplies for our Mexican Fiesta on Thursday. We are very excited to show what we have learned and created. There are 4 pictures in this post and 4 more in another.

The New Hampton Community School District is looking for a full time paraprofessional. The paraprofessional is responsible for performing duties necessary to assist in the efficient operation of the classroom and related service.

The Spanish III students have been busy with their PBL of planning a Mexican Fiesta. There are some great projects happening and we can't wait to show the middle school and high school staff & students what we are learning. Also, a big thank you to Bob Fenske for helping our students tell the story. Watch the newspaper - exciting things happening there too!





Today the Spanish II students were checking nonbiased sources (as much as possible) for the latest news in Spanish-speaking countries.




In the elementary we had March Madness: Tournament of the Picture Books. Our winner was The Book With No Pictures!


The 7th Grade FCS Classes finished off the week by making pancakes from scratch! They were absolutely delicious! They thought pancakes came in a box mix.



Izzy is feels so lucky to be at school. She gets pets from staff and students.


Third graders using AEA Cultural Grams as a resource in their research on countries. Each student was able to choose a country and research fact while learning research skills.




Physical Science students carefully select their eggs and construct the protection devices that they've designed using their knowledge of momentum and impulse. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Manson for providing the eggs for our drop! How many will survive?




Fun night at the Variety Show! Great job by all of the performers! We have so much talent at NHHS!

The variety show will start tonight, April 7 at 7 pm in the old High School gym. The Doors open at 6 pm. The cost to get in is $5 for adults; $3 for students K-12. (no passes)

April 7 Varsity Boys Golf Meet vs. Charles City @ New Hampton is rescheduled to April 15.
