
Sally Kriener stopped by Ya'all Take Care Now to visit about depression and anxiety and some of the ways she has learned to self-manage. She encouraged everyone to seek out someone else and create a support group and that visiting with professionals is a good option. Thank you, Sally!

Fifth graders have been working hard to create toys during STEM. They
have been using deep thinking to solve problems, choose the right
materials, and work together to produce a prototype worthy to present
to their peers.

Thank you Kayla Reetz for coming to Ya'all Take Care Now and sharing about the practices of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. These are great practices for self-care. Kayla works through a program called Challenge to Change.


Thank you to NICC for allowing all the 8th graders to try there hands at the construction simulator today. Students took turns running a bulldozer and filling trucks with an excavator. Definitely sparked some interest today in the field of construction careers.

Tonight's wrestling meet has been moved to a 6:30 pm start. Union has had to withdraw due to illness. The meet will now be a dual between NH/TV and Osage. It will be varsity only.

Cruisin’ Futures students spent the morning in Decorah learning about careers in interior design and hospitality. Thank you to KL Design Co. and Mabe’s Pizza for sharing your expertise. The afternoon was spent focusing on the various opportunities NICC has to offer. Student quote of the day: “Cruisin' Futures has allowed us to expand our horizons for future decisions.”





Project Runway designers start planning their fashion show coming up this Friday, January 14, at 5:30 in the High School Cafeteria. Students lay out their fabric and start cutting out their patterns. Then they get busy sewing!
