All Around the World with Cooking & Cultures J-term Group went to Sakura Japanese Restaurant in Cedar Falls to cover the country of Japan. The Japanese chef was telling Mrs. Schmitt and the students about Japanese food and presentation. It was a fun experience that many of the students would not have had a chance to do, but thanks to J-term they were able to experience food from another culture.

Mrs. Schmitt's & Mrs. Lechtenberg's class of All Around the World with Cooking & Cultures had a great learning experience at the National Czech & Slovak Museum in Cedar Rapids. They toured the museum, watched a video of how they moved the museum after flooding, stopped at a Czech bakery, and ate at The Bohemia (a Czech Restaurant). The students were served Czech Goulash, rye bread and open-faced kolaches from the local bakery.

Sally Kriener stopped by Ya'all Take Care Now to visit about depression and anxiety and some of the ways she has learned to self-manage. She encouraged everyone to seek out someone else and create a support group and that visiting with professionals is a good option. Thank you, Sally!
