A group of high school girls attended the Young Women in Leadership conference at the University of Northern Iowa. Students joined girls from all over Iowa and learned about the importance of mental health advocacy, diversity and inclusion, and using their voices as women leaders.

5th grade field trip to capital and science center

5th graders enjoying their tour at the Capital of Iowa.

The second graders were able to have Jenna Steffens from the Chickasaw County Extension Office as a guest speaker on Friday. They read stories about growing plants and were able to plant seeds in a cup to take home. As a bonus, she also brought in her friend Leo the bunny!

Mousetrap racers projects underway in Physical Science. Prototype work this week leads to redesign work next week!




First graders learning about the Caldecott Medal and looking at books who have won the medal. They loved the pictures! The Caldecott Medal is given for best illustrations from illustrators who live in the United States and the book was published in the United States.


TK students came to the library for innovation lab! They listened to the book “Yertle the Turtle” by Dr. Seuss. After the book, students had a challenge to build the tallest tower with turtles!
