Mrs. Schmitt's Housing & Interior Design students have been learning about exterior designs of different housing styles and housing vocabulary. We went on a short field trip driving around New Hampton filling a Bingo Sheet with housing styles. Did you know that New Hampton has A-Frame, Tudor, Log Cabin, Victorian, Modern and Craftsman style houses? The students found hip, gambrel, flat, and gable roofs. Ask your student about pediments, oculus, transom windows, and cupolas. They would be glad to explain to you about what they have been learning. Each student also got to pick out a prize after getting their Bingo Sheets full.
