Disaster Zone had a guest “fly” in today. Joel Knutson of GundersenAir stopped by to teach the students about traumatic injuries. They dealt with a case study about a person that was injured in a farm accident. Through that the students learned about anatomy, first aid, and the importance of a good 911 call.

Students got to volunteer their time by walking, petting and learning about the available shelter dogs here in town. Thanks to Melissa Scheidel who came to explain more about them! Fundraising will be in their near future as they try to find a new place for the dogs, so stay tuned for that!

Last fall the NHHS Impact Club asked the fourth graders if they wanted to be pen pals. Many of the students were thrilled to write to one another throughout the year. This week our high school pen pals came to the elementary school and ate lunch with the students. Everyone was excited to finally meet one another. Thank you for joining us!
