Food Production I Class has started their PBL project. Their driving question was How can we learn if we are hungry in the afternoon? The student's solution was to start the Chickasaw Snack Shack! The slogan they came up with was : "A Fed Chickasaw is a Happy Chickasaw!" The students came up with healthy snack ideas, made advertising posters, learned to count back money, and figured out what to charge for each snack. The snacks range from $1.00 to $3.00. Please see the poster for more information. (Fresh food choices will change weekly.)

The High School Counseling Office uses an email list to get certain types of information out to parents. This may be things like career-day opportunities, things your child should be doing based on their age/grade, scholarship opportunities (mainly for seniors), ACT dates, etc. It is completely optional.
If you were part of the list last year, you do not have to submit a form again, but if you were not and would like to be added, please fill this out as soon as possible, as there is already information to send

The "I" in Tribe stands for involved. Students participated in our assembly with New Hampton Trivia questions. Students had more covering expectations as well.
Foods I Classes (3rd and 6th period) did a team building activity of putting together Lego sets. Then we discussed what they learned. The students discovered the skills they used in this activity will be used in their food labs. Communication, following directions, teamwork, learning new skills. time management, leadership skills, and more will all be needed to do a successful lab. Way to go Chickasaws!

Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser & Cancer Awareness Week with the following information:

For this year's annual fundraiser we are will teaming up with all of the fall activities to raise money and awareness for breast cancer, along with support for everyone who has had some form of cancer touch their lives! There will be more to come about all of the plans for all of the activities during the week long cancer awareness week in October.
The New Hampton FFA Chapter will be selling a variety "Growing for a Cure" Apparel along with apparel that represents all of the fall activities. We will also begin selling pink and lavender mums after Labor Day until they are gone! All of the proceeds from the mums and other activities will be going to local area funds to assist those who are in need while fighting against breast cancer or prevention.
