Last spring, Mr. Monteith & Ms. Schwickerath received a grant for new STEM kits entitled "Spintronics: Engineer and Design Mechanical Circuits". Recently, the fourth graders started working with the Spintronic kits to help enhance their Energy Unit. Students solve the challenges with their partner as they progress through the program. It is fascinating to watch the students explore and learn more about energy with these kits. Students seem really excited to try this new opportunity.

Congratulations to the boys team on their 3rd place XC finish, led by UIC All-Conference runners Braden Manson (14th) and Colin Shatak (19th)! The girls team also had a strong showing, finishing 6th and led by Sophie Glaser (28th) and Juanita Cardona (30th).

Book fairs are arriving! The Middle School is hosting an online book fair starting October 28-November 19! QR codes will be posted around the middle school during conferences and also shared on the flyer below! Students will be given flyers soon!

The Elementary School is hosting their in-person book fair November 3-6th and 10th at the Elementary makerspace. The book fair is open before and after school as well as during conferences! Flyers will be sent home soon!

Please check out the book fairs as they not only support literacy at home, but every dollar spent helps put new books in our libraries!
