The class is finishing strong with their Ground Beef Challenge in Foods II. Each group was given one pound of ground beef and they needed to come up with a main dish. There was quite a variety (as the pictures will show) of meatballs, sliders, spaghetti, casseroles, etc. Mrs. Schmitt has some wonderful beginning chefs!

Former students, do you remember? As part of reading a book about the Holocaust (Night by Elie Wiesel), this group of tenth graders traveled to Viterbo College in La Crosse, Wisconsin to hear a Holocaust survivor speak. Night is still read in Mr. Meisner's English 2 class.

We need your help, parents! The Department of Ed has given us an extension to try and get to a 50% free and reduced rate to offer Summer Meals in New Hampton. If you have not already filled out an application for Free and Reduced Meals, I beg you to do so. We are literally just 11 students away from being able to offer FREE Summer Meals at the Elementary School for ALL children ages 1-18!
