New Hampton Chickasaw Cheerleaders are hosting a Cookie Dough Fundraiser from September 10-September 24! Get 40 pieces of cookie dough for $25 in flavors like Peanut Butter Cup, Candy, Snickerdoodle, Classic Chocolate Chip, and more! The cheerleaders are raising money to help purchase new items for the squad. Fundraising dollars have helped the squad purchase mats, uniforms, and our new Chickasaw flag in the past. Students in Mrs. Macon's Spanish I classes did a Gallery Walk to learn more about a cultural event that takes place in many Spanish speaking countries. This activity involves reading and recording specific information in order to acquire the language through repetitive use of their high frequency vocab structures.

New Hampton Elementary Families,
There are a couple of events today that we wanted to let you know about.
First, early this afternoon at the Elementary we had a student health issue, in which we called for ambulance services. Since it is unusual for us to have emergency vehicles at the school,I didn’t want parents to be alarmed. The emergency was handled by school staff and EMS.
Secondly, a parent with a no-contact agreement approached the fence during recess. In response, all students were promptly brought inside and the authorities were contacted. We have resumed the day as normal, with the exception of holding recess indoors and monitoring entry to the building. As always all exterior doors will remain locked.
We want to extend our sincere thanks to law enforcement, EMS, first responders, and our teachers for their swift and effective actions in ensuring the safety of our students. The safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority, and we will continue to take all necessary precautions to maintain a secure learning environment.
