Congratulations to the New Hampton Boys Wrestling team on qualifying for the regional team dual tournament. Our team will be traveling to Algona on Tuesday, January 30th for a first round dual with Hampton-Dumont-Cal starting at 6:00 pm. The winner of the first round dual will wrestle Algona for the right to go to state.

Senior Parents: If your child is planning to attend the University of Iowa or UNI in the fall, they have extended their FAFSA priority date from February 1 to February 15. That does not mean that you cannot submit a FAFSA after that date; the priority date means that that's the date it needs to be submitted by in order to qualify for the maximum amount of financial aid. The priority date for Iowa State University remains February 1. If there are any other changes in priority dates that we receive, they will be posted here.

Kindergarten students were in the innovation lab this month! We read the story, Tacky the Penguin. They learned some new vocabulary words along with learning about problem and solution in a story. They then had a STEM challenge. It was to create a shelter for Tacky and his friends so they hunters wouldn't get them. The shelters had to have a lookout tower, an escape slide, room for Tacky and his friends, and room for a Rookery (penguin nest). These kindergartners were so creative and will make amazing engineers. We work through the engineer process during our STEM challenges.
