Boy's basketball fundraiser apparel orders may be picked up tonight (12/19) during the boy's JV home game which begins at 6:15 PM for those who selected pick-up at checkout. Orders with direct shipment requested are shipping today for delivery tomorrow or Thursday.

The High School is going to have their Winter Music Festival in the High School Gym. It will start at 7 pm tonight. $6 adults, $4 students, activity passes accepted. We hope to see you there!
Mrs Heeren’s second grade class came to library for innovation lab. Innovation lab starts off with vocabulary words, literacy skills then a story. Students then learned about sleds along with science terms such as force and friction. They then created a blueprint for the strongest sled. The second day they created fake snow, built sleds, and tested them for how strong they were! So much learning!
First grade students were in innovation lab this week! They learned about bridges and how to engineer a bridge to hold a lot of weight!
Fourth grade students got some hands on coding in the library this week! They coded with Indi Spheros. So much excitement and hands-on learning!
Congratulations to the Chickasaw Esports team on their first Rocket League win against Crestwood High School on Thursday! Paul Schweir, Kaeden Garrison, and Riley Schiedel went 5 rounds and won by a SINGLE GOAL in overtime scored by Kaeden.
Baking One Class finished their cookie unit making: Snickerdoodle cookies, Monster, cookies, and a new recipe with fresh raspberries, macadamia nuts, and white chocolate that were AMAZING! This was the first lab that we used our new convection ovens! They work perfectly allowing the cookies to be finished golden brown in under 8 minutes.
A huge thank you to Mr. Manson, Mr. Jurrens, and Mrs. Schmitt for being awarded Perkins Grant Money. The FCS department was able to purchase a double stacking convection ovens. The grant covered one oven and the New Hampton School covered the rest. Just in time for baking cookies at the end of the year. These ovens will be put to good use and help with our time management challenges of food labs. The cookies baked in 5-8 minutes!
7th Grade FCS is wrapping up their semester with making Christmas cookies! One class they made the dough, the next they rolled it out and baked them, and then they decorated and took them home before winter break. We were able to use our new stacking convection ovens bought half by grant money. The students are also wearing our new donated aprons from the Iowa Beef council. Life is great in FCS classes!
