Your "screw top" water bottle, only the bottle filling stations will be available . 5th and 6th grade just a reminder to enter through the side ramp door and 7th/8th please use main doors. Those masks are needed for the first day as well. We Can't wait to see you guys.

Senior Night and Tri-Athlete Recognition will be August 28th at the Charles City vs. New Hampton Football game. Football, Cross Country, and Cheerleaders will be introduced before the game. At halftime, the Tri-Athlete students will be introduced.
We are having a football scrimmage!! Tonight will start with 9th Football: Scrimmage vs. Decorah @ Home at 5:30pm.
Varsity Football: Scrimmage will follow at 6:30pm.

HS Parents and Students:
This is a video that will be shared with students on the first day talking about our changes due to Covid and our daily schedule. All schedules in Powerschool are based on an 8 period day. First session will be classes during periods 1,3,6,7. College classes will also begin on the first day of school. Please have students bring a charged Chromebook if they still have theirs from over the summer. Breakfast will be served to students on the first day and are asked to report there upon entering the building and following protocols.

High School First Day:
Parents and Students-
Due to all of the changes this year with Covid, we will not be having a Freshman Orientation. We will be covering all important information with students on the first day as well as releasing an overview video later this week of the changes in the high school.
Please note- all students will be required to wear a mask to enter the bus and the building. Students will be given a mask as they enter. Students will be entering by the upper entrance and the lower lobby on the first day. No students are to enter the Activities entrance. Hand sanitizer is to be used upon entrance and at the conclusion of all classes. A list of homeroom teachers will be posted at the entrances where students are to immediately report for the start of the day. At that time, students will get Chromebooks and a printed copy of their schedule. We will discuss our new expectations for student and staff safety and the changes to our schedules from previous years.
Please note that students will be:
-carrying bags and not to use lockers
- Using screw top water bottles
- Eating only during designated lunch time (Food is not to be consumed in class or the hallway)
In five days, school is ready to start. The teachers have been working hard preparing for the first day. A couple of reminders: If you're planning to take advantage of our distance learning program this year, you must notify the building office where your child would attend by August 20th so we can adequately prepare. Also, if you haven't completed registration yet, please do so as soon as possible.

To keep our students and fans safe please be aware and follow our guidelines for attending all New Hampton Athletic Events:
1. It is required that everyone attending indoor activities wears a mask.
2. It is strongly encouraged that everyone attending outdoor activities wears a mask.
3. We will be sitting in every other row of seats to promote social distancing.
4. Do not sit in rows that have colored tape on the end seat.
5. For student sections, we ask that the students follow the every other row regulation and also sit by grade levels.
6. Please sit with people you live with or already spend time together.
7. Please be respectful of others and their beliefs and feelings.
8. By working together and following a few guidelines we hope to make this a safe experience for everyone.

HS Students:
We are SO excited to have you all back with us as we start the 20-21 school year. We wanted to give you a heads up and let you know that the absolute last day to make schedule changes this year will be Wednesday, August 26th. No exceptions.
Typically, you have about a week to 'try your schedule out' and make changes as needed, but because the schedule looks different this year, you won't have as many days once the school year starts to make changes.
Please take a look at your schedule if you haven't already done so and let Mrs. Maas know what/if any changes need to be made.

Student Log in for NICC:
Earlier post today showed when classes will begin. All NICC classes will meet the entire semester. Format may change as our HS class schedule changes. Students will meet according to information released by NICC teachers.
Below is information that was mailed out to students enrolled on 8-13-20:
All high school students planning to take classes through NICC whether you are enrolled in a course at your high school, online, or on campus will be receiving a Welcome Packet in the mail. This packet will provide your unique username and explain step by step how to activate and access your NICC Student Account. You will need access to the following systems: MyCampus, NICC Gmail, and Brightspace. Your Gmail will be your username@nicc.edu
How to Login to NICC Accounts for the First Time
Go to mycampus.nicc.edu and click sign in
Click Forgot Password
The system will send you to a new single sign-on page. Put your NICC username (your NICC email without the @nicc.edu) in the Username box, select Reset Forgotten Password and click Continue.
A random password will be sent to the email address you provided on your online registration along with instructions on how to rest your password.
