Braelyn Rosonke was recently awarded a Hagan Scholarship to attend Cornell College this Fall. The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship designed to help students graduate college debt-free. The scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to eight consecutive semesters and provides recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum via free Workshops, Schwab Brokerage Accounts and Study Abroad opportunities. Hagan Scholars have attended 638 colleges and universities located in 49 states and the District of Columbia. This is a very rare occurrence, so we felt extra recognition was warranted. Congratulations Braelyn!!

One of our very own students, Charleigh, suggested that fourth graders make cards for people in the nursing home to let them know others are thinking of them. What a great way to show kindness to others!

Book fairs are arriving! The Middle School is hosting an online book fair starting March 3 through March 21! QR codes will be posted around the middle school and also shared on the flyer below! Students will be given flyers beginning next week!
The Elementary School is hosting their in-person book fair March 10-17th at the elementary makerspace. The book fair is open before and after school as well as during conferences! Flyers will be sent home next week. Please check out the book fairs as they not only support literacy at home, but every dollar spent helps put new books in our libraries!

New Hampton Elementary Book Fair is coming! During conference week, the Scholastic Book Fair will be at the elementary school. It will be open for students to shop before and after school along with it being open during conferences in the evening on Tuesday and Thursday. Scholastic has the option for kids to shop without cash thanks to eWallet, a digital payment account for purchases at the book fair. Follow our school’s Book Fair homepage link and create a free eWallet account or log in to your previous account. There you can add money to your child’s eWallet with your credit card- no need to worry about sending cash to school! If you put money on your child's eWallet in the fall, and they still have a balance, that is also available for this Spring book fair! Flyers and notes about the book fair and eWallet will be coming home with elementary students soon! For more information, please look at the flyer about eWallets attached and visit our book fair website at https://www.scholastic.com/bf/newhamptonelementaryschool
Thank you for supporting our elementary library and putting great books into your child’s hands!
