Outfly pictures of Bingo and a lucky winner. Students also decorated cookies baked by our High School Foods class under Mrs. April Schmitt. The icing was fantastic as well. Thank you NHHS.

Middle School Students had a lot of fun during this year's Outfly. What students believed to be an assembly on wellness turned into a get day of working together through play and activities. More action shots to come. Chickasaw Pride. #NHtribe

determine the properties of the foods they will begin testing next
week.

We wrapped up Fish in a Tree this week and are working on our projects featuring an important scene from the book and explaining why it is important!

Is it kinetic or potential or is it both?”
This warms the teacher’s heart when she hear students talking about information we learned in science - even when they are in other classes! Thank you, girls, for making her smile!

7th grade students have been reaching out for interviews as part of their Changing World project in Mr. Rude and Mrs. Feldman's classes. A few students were able to land some pretty cool guests! Zoey and Kinslee interviewed a teacher from New York City that lived through the 9-11 attacks. Alexis and Kayme interviewed Senator Grassley about his experience of the attacks, and Ella interviewed KWWL's Ron Steele about what it was like to be in the news business at that time.

5th and 6th Grade Middle Schoolers looked at the work of Eric Carle (The Very Hungry Caterpillar). They became illustrators and writers. They created painted paper to collage a favorite animal of their choice In the style of Eric Carle. They wrote stories to accompany their animals.

Mrs. Quirk’s intervention students came up with a recipe to make and
try in class. It was sooo good!

Hospitality & Tourism is a new class in the FCS department taught by Mrs. Schmitt. They have two chapters dealing with restaurants and food service. The students made a delicious cultural lab of orange chicken, waffles with caramel sauce (from Sweden) and California roll with rice, avocados, and imitation crab meat. They worked together as a team and everything turned out well.

Housing & Interior Design I Class did a group project and built housing styles out of the building materials we had on hand. Just like they did in the early days. Mrs. Schmitt's students were busy with building and making sure they had particular attributes for each house. Some of the housing styles were: A-Frame, Log Cabin, Modern, and a Craftsman Style. They did a great job!

Abigail Holschlag is planning to attend college to become a band director. She is working on a piece with 7th/8th grade band. They will perform it at the winter concert this year!

Photography started a scavenger hunt today and here is Sam Singewald and Megan Schilling. One of the things we focus on is getting closer to our subjects, and changing our angles by taking photos in different positions than standing up. I wanted to share these, because this class is really rocking it! -Ms. Nelson

Thanks to all of the seniors and parents for supporting Chickasaw Volleyball! Good luck ladies!

While we are studying the instrument families in music, the students are sharing their talents with the class.
