
The NHHS Interact Club is doing great things again. The club received a $500 grant from Rotary District 5970 to purchase learning, developmental and sensory toys for Little Sprouts wrap-around daycare program. In addition to the grant, Interact members also collected children's books and markers for the daycare.


The elementary raffle fundraiser is underway! Check out some of our $5 raffle ticket prizes. THANK YOU to the businesses and individuals who donated! Tickets can be purchased from elementary students, staff, or from the elementary office.

Come out tonight to Parent Teacher Conferences and stop by the Opportunity Fair put on by our IBN Students. Businesses and colleges will be in the Competition Gym from 1- 7 pm.

NHHS Student Senate will be hosting a Red Cross BLOOD DRIVE on Wednesday March 20th in the MS (old) Gym from 9-2 p.m. Students who are 16 or 17 may donate, but need to fill out a consent form. All are welcome to donate, including community members! Blood is in short supply and donating is a great thing to do!

Join us tonight for our 5th-12th Parade of Bands held in the Competition gym beginning at 7pm. General Admission is $4 for students and $6 for adults. Activity passes allowed.

Foods I Class made panini sandwiches. They made good use of our panini presses. After slicing and dicing, using their new knife skills, they did a two-day lab of making their own sandwiches. Panini in Italian simply means "sandwich." The students said it just means, "yum!"



ZoAnn Bear was gracious enough to share her time and talents as our guest chef for Cooking Around the World Class. We are currently traveling through Europe in our textbook. Mrs. Bear and the students made her grandmother's recipe of Rosette from Sweden. "Thank you for passing on your family traditions to my students," said Mrs. Schmitt.

This past week Mrs. Schwickerath's homeroom students enjoyed reading picture books to our reading buddies in Ms. Vossberg’s preschool class.

The Interact Club took advantage of the meeting time on Friday morning and worked on three projects: Random Acts of Kindness, a surprise project, and a project that supports Little Sprouts Daycare. There is such a great group of students who are always thinking of others.
