Baking I Class started their pie unit. Friday we made homemade pie crust and they learned how to make a successful meringue. Students made mini chocolate meringue pies to take home. One student commented how much work making their own pie crust was and Mrs. Schmitt said, "making pies are not for the faint of heart."

Foods I Class (both sections) were busy last week making Paninis for a food's lab. They chose different kinds of breads, meats, and vegetables to go into each sandwich. The students have learned a lot from labs: leadership skills, time management, being prepared, communication, and reflection with a lab report.
