On an in-service day, these teachers served by helping to unload the food truck from NEIA Food Bank to help restock the Chickasaw Pride Pantry. Remember if your family has a need for food, come to the front entrance of the high school and take according to your need.

Baking I Class started their pie unit. Friday we made homemade pie crust and they learned how to make a successful meringue. Students made mini chocolate meringue pies to take home. One student commented how much work making their own pie crust was and Mrs. Schmitt said, "making pies are not for the faint of heart."

Foods I Class (both sections) were busy last week making Paninis for a food's lab. They chose different kinds of breads, meats, and vegetables to go into each sandwich. The students have learned a lot from labs: leadership skills, time management, being prepared, communication, and reflection with a lab report.

This week is American Education week (November 13-17). We would like to send a special thanks each day to someone who makes a difference in education. Today we would like to thank our School Board Members. Our school board members make an extraordinary difference in the lives of our students and our community. They work hard to make informed decisions that have an impact both on our students today and the future students of NH. We appreciate all they do to help our students succeed. Thank you New Hampton School Board members!
